More and more vendors are starting to offer vertical cases, especially in the enthusiast and SFF scene. We first started seeing this format “en masse” with the Phanteks Evolv Shift, the Velka cases, the NZXT H1, and more recently the Xtia Xproto and the SSUPD Meshlicious among others.
Today, Raijintek is joining the group with their new case, the Ophion Elite. It comes in two colors, white or a dark grey named “Titan”. The case’s dimensions are 180×302×458 mm (W×D×H). This brings the case just under the 25L mark. It is hardly SFF at this volume sadly.
The case does not use a riser and uses a more “traditional layout” like the Ncase M1 or the Cooler Master NR200, only rotated vertically. The motherboard IO is coming out at the top under a cover with the power button, two USB 3.0 type A ports, a USB type C port, an audio combo jack, and a LED button. There is a cable grommet behind to pass all cables to the motherboard and graphics card.
The main specifications include :
- Compatibility with 3 slots GPUs up to 320mm
- Side bracket for a 240mm AIO
- Air coolers up to 130mm height
- Additionnal space for up to two 140mm fans at the front, one 140mm at the back and one 80mm on the top
- Space for up to three 3.5″ drives or five 2.5″ drives
At the time of writing, we do not know any information about price or availability.
